All advanced accessibility software requires the user to learn how they can make it work for them. There tends to be a steep learning curve (and always a few bumps in the road) along the way to mastering a new technology. You need to develop an understanding of the chosen platform and have a little bit of patience to make it work.
There is help and support available. All paid for assistive software comes with extensive help documentation and there are a variety of free support services:
- AbilityNet (IT Can Help)
- AbilityNet Vision
- RNIB
- British Computer Association of the Blind (BCAB)
- Microsoft Disability Answer Desk
- Apple accessibility support email address. You can also call them on 0800 048 0754.
